Zlatni
Rt and Polari naturist beach
(sent on April 2, 2001)

Name
of the beach: Zlatni Rt and Polari
Location of the beach: near Rovinj
How to get there: These are three year old
memories but I think reasonably accurate. From the
town walk past Hotel Park and marina and continue
along coastal walkway to the end of the paved surface.
From Hotel Eden go down past the swimming pool and
out the back gates. You should then be able to find
small footpaths through the woods which will follow
the shore quite closely.
The paths are narrow and rough but navigable and
with a bit of searching you should be able to find
somewhere though it may be rough and rocky. Or go
between two big stone gateposts and along a wide
gravelled path through the woods for about half
mile This will bring you back on to the coast near
a taverna and if you keep going you will definitely
find flattish rocky areas where naturism was practiced.
If you keep going still further you will eventually
pass the Villas Rubin and come to the Polari naturist
camp site. There the beach has had shingle dumped
and levelled and is much more comfortable. This
was about 45 mins walk from Eden.

Description:
The shore of the Zlatni Rt park nearest the Hotel
Eden is rough and rocky and there are no facilities.
The taverna obviously offers refreshments and probably
toilets and these might also be available at Villas
Rubin. Access to the water was difficult and in
May it was still quite cold.
Thanks
